Pediatric Development Clinic (PDC)
The Pediatric Development Clinic provides specialized care for children with developmental needs, focusing on early assessment, monitoring, intervention, and support to promote healthy growth and improved quality of life.

PDC

The Pediatric Development Clinic (PDC) at Kirehe District Hospital provides specialized follow-up care for high-risk infants and children to support healthy growth and development. The clinic serves premature babies, children with low birth weight, neonatal complications, malnutrition, disabilities, or developmental delays.

A multidisciplinary team—nurses, clinicians, nutritionists, and mental health professionals—offers developmental screening, nutrition counseling, caregiver education, and early stimulation support. Families receive guidance on feeding, milestones, and home-based care. The PDC works closely with maternity, neonatology, and community health workers to ensure early identification and continuous follow-up. Its services help children reach their full developmental potential.
